Love you

I am posting this just for me - I don't ever want to forget this.
Tonight when I put Jaxon to bed - I laid him down and said, "goodnight Jax - I love you" and then he said "love you" as I was walking away. Right before I got to the door - he jumped up and mumbled something and I just heard the word kiss, so I asked if he wanted another kiss - he said yes so of coarse I went over and gave him one. Then he laid back down and yelled Love you over and over as I was walking to the door. As I was closing it he said bye. He kept yelling bye even after the door was shut and when I turned on the monitor he was saying love you over and over - so I yelled it back and then he stopped! It was so dang cute. Its the first time he has ever done this before. Usually we say it and then we have to tell him to say it, but tonight it was totally on his own and it was so dang cute.

On another note - Dan took his last final today - his first year is officially over. It has gone by so fast yet so slow. I am so proud of Dan. He has worked so hard, put in so many hours studying and I am truly grateful to him for all he is doing for our family. I have learned a lot about him and I during this experience. I'm so glad its over - only 2 more years to go!

  2. Aww! That must have been such an amazing "mom momment" for you! Glad to hear that the first year is finally over--I know it's been a rough journey for your little family. But on the bright side...we get to see you guys VERY soon! :)

  3. First, congrats on getting through year one of law school! Yay!

Second, oh my H! Jaxon is adorable. I remember the first time Owen said I LOVE YOU with out us telling him. Let me say, from on mom to another, it really does melt your heart and you really feel like you have accomplished something. The fact that your child is sharing thier feelings with you is just so wonderful to a parent. Jaxon will probably do this a lot more. I'm glad you posted this, it made me think of my son and how I love our special moments we share. :) Thanks Lisa.
