Potty Like A Rockstar

Thank you everyone for the advice about church. I hope you all know that I would never stop going to church haha, I was just joking about that!

I don’t really have much to blog about, just a few things that I want to remember, and since I basically use this as my journal, I’m posting about it.

First – Jaxon had his one year appointment a little while ago and he is 23 lbs 12 oz’s and he is 31 ½ inches tall. He is in the 63rd percentile for his weight and the 91st percentile for his height. He is growing healthy and strong. He is a bottomless pit and eats and eats and eats, but since he is running EVERYWHERE he isn’t gaining weight – I was really worried about that at first, but the doctor said it was ok. He LOVES fruits and veggies – he can’t get enough grapes, watermelon, cantaloupe, peas, and green beans, but he has a harder time eating meats – he will eat chicken, but he will only take a few bites and then he will throw it out of his mouth, again, being a first time mom, I was worried about that – but the doctor said that I just need to present him with a balanced diet and let him eat what he will eat because food is a battle you cant win LOL.

Second – oh my H he is the cutest thing ever. I seriously can’t get enough of him. Today Dan and I went and did a session at the Temple with his parents and Mike and Brittany and so we left Jax with my parents – and I was going through Jaxon withdrawals. I mean it was nice to have a little break and get to go to the temple and have a few hours of quiet -  but then I just wanted to be with Jax again. You know the feeling when something is so cute that you just want to squeeze it? Yeah that is how I feel about Jaxon but multiply it by 1000. Hahaha I probably sound a little crazy right now but words really can’t describe how much I love my little monster. Every mom out there I’m sure knows exactly how I feel – and yet at the same time, I feel like there is no way anyone could love anyone else as much as I love Jaxon. This time last year he wasn’t even a month old and I remember going to do 4th of July things and thinking how much fun it was going to be when he was a little older and couldn’t actually enjoy the fireworks and all of that – and this year I am so excited to see how he reacts to everything!

That’s really all I have to say – I am just in awe at how much love I can possess for such a little guy – I am watching him run around right now in his diaper and his “potty like a rockstar” t-shirt because he spilled watermelon juice all over his pants and I just can’t believe he is my boy FOREVER! I am so blessed to have him in my life and feel overwhelmed with gratitude for the opportunity I have to be his mom. I hope I do an ok job!
